WFTC Done

WFTC switched to RF channel 29 tonight. I am waiting for some reception reports to see how it has helped or hurt most people. My signal strengths are not as great as I had hopped, nowhere near the power of KSTC. Please reply and let us know what you think of the new channel.

No change in Eagan, re-scanning for it made me loose Channel 2.3 & 2.4 however!

KTCI (2.3/4) seems to be having issues with either PSIP or the UpdateTV service that they offer. There are reports of KTCI locking up CECBs (RCAs at this point, I have heard)

KTCI must read your blog because they fixed the problem

I don't know about them reading the blog, but that is good news for those of you close enough in to grab the 50kW UHF signal (not happening at 73miles out here!)

Such a pity as they often have the best tpt programming on 2.3 and nice to have instant NWS weather information. Hopefully they will switch to Channel 23 soon.
Now if we can just get KPXM 41 to move to Shoreview :-|

I would not count on KPXM moving anytime soon, from what I have read.

As to KTCI (2.3/4) I would expect that they get it done before the weather gets cold, or it gets put off until Spring. Which may happen if they to have antenna work done, they may wait for the same crew as the WFTC antenna switch. (just guessing on this)
