KMSP At Full Power

KMSP got approval from the FCC to boast to 30kW ERP and did so on or around June 16th. So this is as good as their signal is likely to get. If you do not receive them now, think about VHF-HI antennas. If you need help with antennas, just reply to any post here and Matt and I will gladly help!

Interestingly in my upstairs antenna if my metal blinds are down I can NOT receive KMSP9-DT with any clarity, heavily pixelated even though antenna signal strength is good >40%.KARE11-DT comes in fine with blinds down. Didn't realize Ch9 was going to be that sensitive.

Different frequencies can behave wildly different depending on site. It is odd that you can get KARE with the blinds down, but not KMSP. I would have thought it the other way around. If you went to vinyl blinds, the problem may go away.

Yep down stairs we have cloth vertical (with a very thin aluminum wafer in middle) and that slightly attenuated Channel 9, and in another room vinyl blinds and no effect.
I will give KMSP9-DT credit though; the increased power improved reception in last storm while KARE11-DT still broke up.
